School Captains' Welcome

SCHOOL CAPTAINS’ ADDRESS

Hello, we are David and Moustafa, and we are the Portlethen Academy School Captains for 2026–2027.

It is our pleasure to be selected for this role to represent and lead the pupils of Portlethen Academy. We know that this will be a challenging task, but we are both prepared and excited for the great year ahead!

Our focuses this year include:

• Increasing engagement in school inter-house events.

• Giving all students a clear and direct way of voicing their ideas and opinions.

• Ensuring all pupils feel welcomed and safe in their school every day.

One of our main ideas to support our focus on inclusion is organising a Multicultural Day. This event will involve students researching and exploring different cultures from around the world and presenting them to the school.  This is as a result of the new s1s and their winning ‘Dragon’s Den’ pitch as part of P7 Transition in May 2026, and also to lead on from the fantastic Interfaith Day in S3 RMPS which is an annual event.
